A piano. A voice. Bodies in motion. An insomniac journey from dusk till dawn to evoke the mysteries of sentiment, consciousness, and memory.

Through words and bodies, NOCTURNA presents a dance, musical, and poetic exploration of the profound motifs and contradictions that the night brings, seen from the perspective of lucidity and the hallucinations of those who experience insomnia: the reverie against the nightmare, the subconscious against conscious thought, the celebration against tranquility… Without forgetting the night can be a mystical experience, a visionary path, and its opposite: the night as a game, a playful ritual of confused identities. The night changes, transforms, confuses, and moves—it is pure movement. Today, we follow in its footsteps. Today, we dance until dawn.

Following the international success of Nacida sombra (2017) and Ariadna. Al hilo del mito (2020), choreographer and director Rafaela Carrasco and playwright and poet Álvaro Tato continue their process of shared creativity in this new show, alongside an exceptional team that takes flamenco music and flamenco to a new territory of exploration and discovery.
